The historic Mooresfield Estate was built in 1841 by local woolen mill
owner Daniel Rodman. It was the center of the village of Mooresfield,
which included the mill, Rodman's son's house, a school which doubled as
a church, a company store, and the houses of local mill employees. |
|
The wide hallways of Mooresfield are the
galleries for the furniture of Jeffrey Greene. Shown at left is the
first-floor gallery and entrance hall. |
|
Jeffrey Greene's handcrafted furniture lines the second-floor gallery
hall as well. |
|
The guest rooms feature original period American antiques throughout.
The East Room is shown at left with its circa 1830 maple tall post bed
in the Empire style. |
|
The West Room is two adjoining rooms, also furnished with period pieces,
including this circa 1820 low-post Sheraton bed in tiger maple with the
original surface. The adjoining room features a circa 1810 tall-post bed
in the Sheraton style. All the beds have been fitted with modern
foundations and mattresses. For more pictures and information visit
